Dear readers, we are sorry to report we are still having technical difficulties uploading our photos. Our classroom received a new desktop computer last Wednesday and we have a few glitches. Hopefully, they will be sorted out soon. Thank you for your patience.

Yesterday we did science outside....bbrrr.... to see if the earth
really turns. We hammered a big nail into a piece of poster paper on the ground. We drew a line with the time on it and had to go check every 15 minutes to see what happened. Can you guess what happened?

OUR FIRST BLOG! Nov 18, 2014
Welcome to Division 5's classroom blog. Each week we will try to have 2 students write an entry explaining what we have learned during the week. This writing time will coincide with our Learning Log on Friday morning. On four-day weeks we will attempt to get the blog done but due to time constraints, it may not always happen.
Social Studies Quiz
This week students will be assessed on their knowledge and recall of the 7 world continents and 3 oceans (Pacific, Atlantic and Arctic oceans). We have produced 2 world continent maps in school and your child will come home today with a study map.
Students have also worked on 2 geography game sites which are fun for review but they do not include the 3 oceans that touch Canada. Although there are more difficult games on softschools.com which review the world oceans.
